There was a time when I thought Snooze was my friend. Always there to grant me a few more moments of precious slumber. I thought he was reliable – the type of friend I could call on any time. But it turns out Snooze was just the greedy, backstabbing type.
He was stealing precious moments that could have been put to good use, tricking me into procrastinating on life, and then leaving me feeling groggy once I reluctantly peeled myself from the bed.

I’m not saying you have to break it off with Snooze tomorrow, but take a moment to evaluate the relationship:
- Consider how many times you hit Snooze each morning (Let’s say 3.)
- Multiply that by the number of minutes per snooze (9 minutes x 3 snoozes = 27 minutes each morning)
- Take that number and multiply by 5 or 7 to determine how many minutes (hours?) Snooze is stealing from you each week. (27 minutes x 5 workdays = 2 hours 15 minutes)
- A few slaps of the Snooze and before you know it, you’ve lost 2 hours and 15 minutes this week.
I know how powerful just one extra minute per day can be, so imagine what you could do with an extra 2 hours and 15 minutes per week. TWO HOURS.
